His Holiness 17th Gyalwang Karmapa Birthday 2026

The Barom Kagyu Dharma Centres worldwide joyfully celebrated the birthday of His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje.

We conclude by offering prayers for His Holiness’s long life, excellent health, and for all his wishes to be spontaneously fulfilled. May all obstacles be pacified, and may he long remain for the benefit of the teachings and all sentient beings.

Prayer Flag Raising Ceremony

The Prayer Flag Raising Ceremony is a traditional Tibetan Buddhist practice. Prayer flags printed with sacred prayers and mantras are raised in an elevated place so that the wind may carry blessings, peace, good health, longevity, the removal of obstacles, and the increase of merit for all beings.

    H.E. Sonam Tenzin Rinpoche and USA Barom Kagyu students celebrated the parinirvana anniversaries of Marpa Lotsawa and Jetsun Milarepa at the California Barom Kagyu Dharma Centre.
